Tonight during our weekly worship and prayer gathering we viewed a documentary called “not for sale”. The whole drive of the night was to discuss human trafficking in the world. I had heard of this in bits and pieces, but I never realized how out of control this was. Over 27 million people in the world are affected by this… did you know? Then I got on cnn.com tonight to see this as their top article. Careful before you click… it’s reality at it’s worst.
So why do I share this stuff on this blog? I suppose because my hope is that those who would read our blog would have an awakening to a larger world view and understand that even the small rural churches in America have to take notice of this and address these issues within their congregations. Why? Because I’m not convinced that Jesus was keen on us only dealing with our own issues. His call was to a much broader perspective.
So how do you get involved in the multitude of issues I’ve raised in our blog posts? Perhaps we shall imagine together the possibilities… they are endless my friends! Leaders who read our blog… imagine the possibilities and release empowered peoples into the crevices.
