Yes. Ninjas. Ninjas at the University of Pretoria are creating some problems for the reign of hatred that has long fallen on the residence hall life. Convinced that Jesus has a better way forward, this group of men are covenanting with one another to strip down a generation old DNA of racial hatred and replace it with the fullness of the gospel.
Where does NieuCommunities fit? Perhaps a better questions is where DON’T we fit! I’ve been coaching the head culprit, William for a while now, and have been spending more time with a new guy from the group, Lou. After coffee with Lou today, we were both pretty stoked about the possibility of NieuCommunities helping them form some healthier rhythms and bring this effort to a longer, more sustainable way forward. So we’ll see where this takes us, takes them, and the rest of the University.
Watch this space for posts on how we’re moving deeper into the grass-root systems around our neighborhood. We’re excited to say the least ;).
